A Slingerlands, NY native, Dan moved to Nashville in 2020 where he currently serves as Assistant Marketing Manager, Band & Orchestra Products for Pearl Corporation.
At Pearl, Dan is responsible for implementing various marketing activities for Pearl’s Educational, Marching, Concert, and Adams products. He enjoys engaging with Pearlβs online social communities, as well as working with Pearlβs best-in-class roster of Artists and Educators across the United States.
As an active drummer and session musician, Dan has performed with a variety of artists including: Charly Reynolds, Shane Profitt, Brooke Alexx, Kate Yeager, LECADE, Laurel Sabadosh, Julielle, Raleigh Keegan, Dan Harrison, Greg Pratt, Bonner Black, Daena, Lauren Presley, Southern Call, Kaylee Federmann, Emily Daniels, David Unlayao, Jed Harrelson, Ria Barkr, Kensie Coppin, Kate Sykes, Lori Rayne, Timothy Myles, Ashton Butler, Cass Jones, Dorian Lackey, Linde LaChance, Gracie Calvaneso, Hunter Lyons, John Paris, Sam Raiff, Jeffrey Krantz, Noah Kesselman, Jesse Savio, Nikki Forbes, Michael Taylor, Forts Like Vana, Olivia Frances, among others.
Dan attended the State University of New York College at Oneonta where he received a B.A. in Music Industry with Double Minors in Percussion Performance and Audio Production. At Oneonta, Dan studied percussion with Dr. Julie Licata and drum set with The Mars Volta drummer Blake Fleming.
In 2015, Dan relocated to Indianapolis, IN to pursue an internship with the Percussive Arts Society. Upon completion of the program, Dan was hired on full-time as their Social Media & Web Content Manager. In Indiana, Dan was an active performer with the Indiana Pacers High Octane Drumline, the Indianapolis Symphonic Band, and local rock/pop band Greta Speaks. Prior to joining Pearl in January 2020, Dan held similar Marketing positions with Marimba One and Herff Jones, LLC.
When Dan isn’t drumming, he enjoys podcasting, playing tennis, and attending live events. In 2020, Dan started the Nashville Drummers Podcast with colleague Nathan Sletner, which gives a voice to Nashvilleβs next generation of players.
